Dhagpo Möhra – Schedrub Tschöpel Ling
is a place for Buddhist study and meditation where, under the spiritual direction of Thaye Dorje, H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, the teachings of Buddha are passed on according to the Karma Kagyü tradition.
The centre is located at the heart of Germany, in Thuringia. It has been welcoming interested people all year around who are in search of meaning and their inner resources, for almost 20 years now. Be they buddhists or simply people who want to learn about meditation or enrich their lives. Dhagpo Möhra is a seminar centre that offers accommodation and meals. It is a place for people to meet and to live Buddhism in everyday life.

A Centre for Study and Meditation
Since 2005 Dhagpo Möhra has had regular courses, which give insight into the foundations, path and fruit of the spiritual practice according to the Karma Kagyu school. Furthermore, there is the possibility for retreat under the spiritual guidance of one of the resident lamas.
We are looking forward to welcome you to one of our courses or retreats. You are welcome to sign up to volunteer or simply to get to know the centre. The centre offers guest rooms with full board.
International Karmapa Foundation
The International Karmapa Foundation, based in Möhra, was founded in 2009. Under the direct leadership of H.H. 17. Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje, the foundation operates internationally and supports projects that are aligned with Buddhist teachings in general and the tradition of the Karma Kagyü school in particular.
The International Karmapa Foundation maintains a foundation and guest house in Möhra, which also has rooms for accompanying the dying. Furthermore, interfaith dialogues are welcomed in the foundation house. Moreover, the foundation and guest house is used as a local meeting place.
Dharma Village
On the initiative of Lama Jigme Rinpoche and in close consultation with H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje, a housing complex was built on the outskirts of the village of Möhra. This is a place where people who feel close to the Dhagpo Möhra centre have been living since 2013. Together, they can create a daily life in harmony with Buddhist teachings and ethics, in which the values of mindfulness, awareness, compassion and joy are lived, regardless of age and social background.
The centre of Dhagpo Möhra is 2 km from the Dharma Village and can be reached in just 20 minutes walking distance.
