Rinpoche unexpectedly has to shorten his trip to Europe this year.
We are delighted to welcome Sabchu Rinpoche in Dhagpo Möhra this year.
Buddhist meditation comprises two aspects: Peace of mind and insight. The respective equivalents in Tibetan are Shine and Lhagthong.
In this seminar, Sabchu Rinpoche will explain the meditation of calm abiding – Shine. Shine meditation leads to a balanced, peaceful and joyful mind. On this basis, through the practice of insight, we can gain deep and experiential realisations of the very nature of ourselves and the world of phenomena.
“Buddhist meditation is comprised of two aspects: calm abiding and insight.
The respective Sanskrit equivalents are samatha and vipasyana; in Tibetan they are shiné and lhagtong. The meditation of calm abiding engenders a well-balanced, peaceful, and joyful state of mind. On this basis, the meditation of insight enables us to gain a deep and experience-based knowledge of the true nature of ourselves and of the world of appearances.”
