Review of the activities for
“20 Years of Dharma Activity in Möhra”
The essence of a Dharma center lies in the authentic teachings of the Buddha Dharma. The 20 years of activity of the Möhra Dharma Center are based on this.
With immeasurable appreciation for your precious teachings, transmissions, and empowerments, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts:
17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje, 14th Shamar Mipham Chökyi Lodrö, Jigme Rinpoche, 2nd Beru Khyentse Rinpoche, 4th Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche, Mipham Rinpoche, Lama Tönsang, Khenpo Tschödrag Rinpoche, Shabdrung Rinpoche, Sabchu Rinpoche, Tseyang Rinpoche, Drupon Nyigyam Rinpoche.
(Names in chronological order of instruction in Möhra.)
Special thanks go to Gendun Rinchen.
We also thank all the Khenpos, Lamas, and Archaryas who have shared their Dharma knowledge at the Möhra Dharma Center, and all the practitioners who study and apply these teachings. All of this together makes the Dharma Center a precious place. May the Buddha Dharma spread from here.
A very heartfelt thank you to everyone who, through their tireless, continuous work and financial support, has made the activities of the Möhra Dharma Center possible.
A special thank you goes to all our visitors who, through their interest, keep the center vibrant and thus help to ensure the continuation of Dharma activities.
Many thanks also to Tokpa Korlo, Nikita Pohlan, Peter Cerveny, and Anne Holzhauer for the photos.
With these photos we want to give you an impression of the celebrations.

Lama Jigme Rinpoche
In March, we were able to share a wonderful retrospective on 20 years of the Möhra Dharma Center together with Jigme Rinpoche and exchange memories.
Furthermore, it was very important and significant for the Möhra Sangha to thank Jigme Rinpoche for his spiritual guidance over all these years.
Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche and Young Adults
At the beginning of August, the Young Möhra Sangha celebrated 20 years of Möhra together with Jamgön Kontrul Rinpoche. On this occasion, everyone was also able to participate in the Karma Pakshi initiation that Jamgön Kontrul Rinpoche gave that weekend.
In addition, everyone enjoyed the Matcha PopUp Bar that we had set up in our workshop, walks to the linden tree, and creative activities.
The anniversary celebration
At the end of August, we held our official anniversary weekend, which was attended by approximately 250 people. Photo galleries projected onto a screen set up in the courtyard offered a vivid retrospective of 20 years of Dharma activity in Möhra. A diverse cultural and musical program provided relaxed entertainment.
The mayor of the city of Bad Salzungen, Klaus Bohl, presented the Möhra Community with the city of Bad Salzungen’s Medal of Honor in recognition of its valuable contributions to the cultural, social and spiritual life of the region.
In their heartfelt speeches, Hannes Knott (First Deputy Mayor of the City of Bad Salzungen), Udo Schilling (First Deputy District Administrator of the Wartburg District) and Pastor Neumann thanked the pioneers of the early days, highlighted the positive spirit of the community and thanked the active members of the community.
Culinary delights from Norman and babi’s DELI Eisenach pampered all the senses.
A special moment: the most heartfelt thank you ever was presented by the parents of the “summer camp children,” including the handover of a photo book entitled “Growing Together.”
Lama Yeshe Sangmo, in her report on Gyalwa Karmapa’s activity in Möhra and in the International Karmapa Foundation, also provided an outlook on future activities.
Also this weekend: joint Chenrezig and Tara practice, Karmapa Guru Yoga, and a Milarepa Tsok Puja to conclude the weekend.
AND: wonderful weather, heartfelt conversations, a reunion after a long time, walks and dancing… a relaxed atmosphere for young and old alike.
