Dear Dharma Friends,

With this newsletter, we welcome the month of August and the previously announced summer camp; we look forward to seeing many interested and enthusiastic young people and young adults there once again. (Please also see our “reminder” below).

As for the program, August gets off to a somewhat leisurely start—as befits the month. The Möhra Sangha is using this time to hold internal meetings.

Review

In July, Chumba Lama once again taught Tibetan breathing yoga in Möhra—a highly popular course that we look forward to continuing next year. Chumba Lama, who was asked to teach by Shamar Rinpoche, is—one might say—the embodiment of Tibetan breathing yoga; he shares this method with participants through great kindness, empathy, and extensive knowledge. Everyone unfamiliar with this tradition—which acts directly upon our energy body—is warmly invited not to miss the next opportunity to join, as it is possible to start breathing yoga at any time, even without prior experience.

Just as in previous years, Lama Walli and Lama Chris have once again—and most appreciatively—inspired participants with their teachings on “The Great Peacock” (The Transformation of Emotions). Plans are already in place to continue offering this precious learning opportunity.

Acharya Ngawang Tharchin has concluded the first three months of his in-person study program course, covering Chapter 6 of the “Jewel Ornament of Liberation”. The “last day of class”—like the lessons themselves—was marked by a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere, as is clearly evident in the photos. We are deeply grateful to him for teaching us and for living here in Möhra with us. During the break in July, he handed over duties to Acharya Gonpo Tashi, whom we warmly welcomed as he began his teaching on July 26th.

Reminder

During the final weekend of the summer camp (August 7–9), plans for the upcoming Young Sangha pilgrimage in 2027 will be discussed together with Lama Yeshe, Acharya Ngawang Tharchin, and Acharya Gonpo Tashi. All Young Sangha members—whether or not they are attending the summer camp or can be present for the entire duration—are warmly invited to join the Möhra team for this planning session. This offers an opportunity to clarify questions and contribute ideas and suggestions.
Updates regarding the pilgrimage will follow in a special “Young Sangha Pilgrimage” newsletter.
